The Information Note and Disclaimer should be read and agreed by the public prior to their purchase of the information in the digital Computation Folder in HKMS 2.0.
Information Note
(a) The information contained in the Computation Folder is intended to release for private land surveyors who wish to acquire the survey information of lot(s) to facilitate their operation. The information in the Computation Folder should therefore be interpreted by a Professional Land Surveyor.
(b) Only relevant information relating to the survey or definition of lots are extracted and included in the Computation Folder. The page numbers in the Computation Folder may not be in sequence. It may contain only the index page after exclusion of the pages with internal information.
(c) Please refer to this document for the list of Computation Folders which are currently in connection with legal actions leading to litigation and unavailable for supply.
Disclaimer
(a) SMO in no way guarantees the accuracy or correctness of any information in the Computation Folder, in particular, it does not guarantee that the information in the Computation Folder is fit and suitable for any particular purpose.
(b) The purchaser of the information in the Computation Folder hereby acknowledges that survey data and drawings such as working diagrams, reference plans and sketches are at various scales and derived from various sources of different accuracies. The purchaser is advised to verify such information by obtaining independent advice from Professional Land Surveyor, making reference to relevant documents, site visit, etc. before making any decision. It may contain only the index page after exclusion of the pages with internal information. The handling charge paid for Computation Folder supply-on-demand request shall be non-refundable.
(c) SMO shall be under no liability whatsoever to the purchaser for any loss or damage arising from the purchase and use of the information in the Computation Folder.
(d) The purchaser of information in the Computation Folder hereby indemnifies and shall keep indemnified SMO, against all actions, proceedings, liabilities, demands, costs, expenses, losses and claims arising from the use of the information in the Computation Folder.
(e) SMO reserves the right to change, add, delete and update any information in the Computation Folder at any time and in such a manner as it deems appropriate.
(f) Computation Folder is originally a paper map product. Handling of each Computation Folder supply-on-demand request includes inspection, digitalisation and updating of the Land Information System. Orders for 3 Computation Folders or fewer will be delivered, in general, in about 4 working days. For orders with large quantity, processing time may be longer. However, the actual delivery time will also depend on the actual operation and the number of orders received.
